It's ok for the priceOct 22, 2010

Sure, it's not the $300 variety, and this one is intended as an honor award for Young Marine of the Year, which is a non-profit youth program, so we don't have a lot to spend, but . . . all the same, it could be a little nicer. I mean, the brass is extremely shiny which looks a bit fake, but if it were uniformly shiny, that would make a huge difference. There are "smudgy" areas where the finish is not even, and that makes it look cheap. Overall, not happy but again, it's for the winner of the Young Marine of the Year and to a kid, this will be cool. In a couple years, it will probably look like crap, to be honest. It's just too bad there isn't something in between the cheap version and the super expensive. I'd be willing to spend a little more to get something even a little better quality.

Very HappyAug 30, 2010
By Marine 69-75 Unless you're going to take on the Barbary Pirates in an actual sword fight, this will serve your purpose well. It's not, of course, the quality of an official sword, but the price difference $400+ vs $30 makes it worthwhile. I'm going to use the swords I bought as part of the individual POW/MIA and KIA table setup at the annual USMC Birthday Ball that is hosted by our Marine Corps League Detachment. I have to admit, though, that one thing that did bother me was the description that reads "...Uniform Officer NCO Sword". It's either an Officer's sword, or an NCO sword. However, knowing that the picture was what I wanted and being rather forgiving on non-Marines lack of knowledge thereof, I went ahead and made the purchase. I'm glad I did and will probably buy from this seller again.

What I Saw Was What I GotFeb 08, 2010
By Axe Man The picture and description of the sword is what led to my decision to purchase it. I was concerned that I may have misread something or missed some fine print somewhere...that turned out not to be the case and I became a very satified customer when the sword arrived!

By Grundo80 Great Sword. Overall feels very realistic and sturdy. If you are looking for a nice show piece or are just a sword enthusiest then this is a great buy. Im a 6'3 male and this sword if i were to use as a prop or something is the right size for me. I am very pleased with this purchase and you will too.
