High quality sturdy and attractive; surprisingly low priceJan 24, 2011
By Lina Inverse I have sensitive ears. Earrings for me are impossible to tolerate, only 14K gold or surgical steel could do. These ear wires allow me to buy affordable fashion earrings and I switch out the wires easy to do and a great way to save money while keeping up with new styles, nice and sturdy with the appearance of white gold. Incredible price and highest quality I would recommend this product to anyone who appreciates quality jewelry.

perfect itemNov 23, 2009
By What it is I got mine from uncomon artistry and they were all identical sizes and obviously surgical steel. They matched the earring backs i got to go with them and were a great set. I would not hesitate to recomend these! I buy a lot and know quite well what surgical steel looks like.

Bad qualityOct 09, 2009
By B. Jensen I purchased these. The hooks I received were all of varying sizes. Some were blackened. Some were super shiny silver (making me question whether they really are surgical steel). And the balls on the hooks are plastic coated in silver paint that scratches off. Very poor quality.
I didn't think my ears were THAT sensitive...May 27, 2012
By Young professional In the past I've usually been ok with most earrings that are just randomly picked up in stores. I suppose sometimes I try to get ones for "sensitive ears", but don't always, and don't usually have a problem. I figured since these said surgical steel, they should be fine. I'd gotten some earrings as a gift, which had very thick hooks that wouldn't fit through my tiny ear piercings, so I got these thinner hooks to change out the hook part so I could wear those earrings. Unfortunately towards the end of one day of wear, my ear piercing holes got red and itchy, and started oozing slightly. I'd give my ears a few days off then try again with a different pair. Unfortunately every time these created problems for my ears. I really tried 5 or 6 times, same thing kept happening. So finally I ponied up the extra money to get like 10 hooks for $10 or something that are sterling silver. Problem solved 100%, my ears do perfectly with those. If your ears are even slightly sensitive, I'd definitely advise avoiding these hooks... your ears will thank you!
