i was not happy with this product. it clearly says "ice" however, these are not "ice" sissors, they don't even have the ice logo. they are not sharp enough to cut hair. they do not even look new! bummer, guess they will do for crafts.

I thought these would have been a lot sharper than they turned out to be based on other reviews. They do a poor job on thick hair but are ok for trimming bangs and around the ears. Another dislike is that the finger holes are too small and need to be a bit larger. They tend to slid up my fingers and get caught past my knuckles.

UPDATE: Ordered 3 of these from 2 different sellers....
I like these shears. I haven't tried them on hair but needed short scissors that had a satisfying cut...that I could put in my bike bag, first aid kits, etc. These are perfect for my purposes.
I've ordered them thrice. Twice from "FindingKing." These just say "ICE TEMPER" on one side and "STAINLESS CHINA" on the other. No rust or anything. I received a third set from "hobbytoolsupply" which are more like the ones pictured "ICE Tempered Stainless 5 1/2." The handles are not golden. The plastic sleeve says "SIMCO (TM)" and Pakistan.
Comparing the two further, the "FindingKing" ones are shiny, snubber and the "hobbytoolsupply" are matte and more pointed. Neither measure 5 1/2 inches. The "FindingKings" measure about 5 1/8" from tip to curly cue and the "hobbytoolsupply" ones are about 5 3/4" ... cutting surfaces are 1 3/4" and 2" respectively. The "hobbytoolsupply" shears feel a little heavier, more substantial.
All of these are good scissors if you need stainless steel scissors this size. I am not a hair stylist so cannot say how useful they are for hair. I also am not an expert on stainless steel so have no idea if these are the genuine article.
I will try to get my housemate to give me a haircut with them but she doesn't know what she's doing either so I can't imagine that will be useful feedback for the pros out there. I feel confident these will split hairs.

Item not as pictured. Not marked as Simco brand name, visually different, and etchings on blade are different. Shown as made in Pakastan on web page and made in China on scissor. I would not recommend.
