Wow! Best Bracelet String... Ever!Oct 29, 2010

This stuff is KILLER! I'm not a jewelry maker, but I ordered this to replace the cheap elastic string that was wearing out on a few of my bracelets. This string is very easy to work with & seems ultra-strong. It's like super-stretchy fishing line. It feels like I will never have to re-string my bracelets again. In fact, it worked so well I used it on all my bracelets, even the ones that weren't wearing out (kind of a preemptive strike)! It is so great that I am considering buying some beads & making my own original stretchy bracelets. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I use this stretchy cord all the time to make bracelets with beads, charms, and chains. It holds up well and I rarely have any breakage. Keep in mind hat when you tie your knot you need to stretch and stretch the cord and then tie it again. You may also want to put a drop of glue on the knot, but not super glue. That will cause it to harden and break.

I did not realize Stretch Magic came in several sizes .5mm, .7 mm, 1.0 mm.
Sizing does make a difference...1.0 mm is strong but better for big beads.
The item came in a timely fashion and I am happy with the product. For small
bead you would want .5mm (which I ordered later on).

I was worried the first time I used this that it would break if I pulled it too tight. I tied a simple knot in it, which came loose immediately, so I looked up a video on the web to see how I should tie a knot. The video said to pull the knot VERY tight. I ended up pulling it as tight as possible, and never felt that it was going to break, and the knot has stayed exactly as I made it. Wonderful product!!

This is the best elastic I have ever used. It has a very nice give and its strong. To tie it off simply square knot, pull very tightly (you'll see the knot get smaller and dont worry because it will not break), then run a flame through the knot quickly and it's sealed.
