 Small, thin, & fragile hooksJul 07, 2009

These are smaller than I had anticipated, 7 X 18 mm long. They still work for most needs. However, they are so small that occasionally the earring hooks come out of my ears during wear. I don't think it is due to poor quality control or manufacture. I think it is just the price of silver going up.

I got these so I could replace my other earring hooks with silver ones so they don't irritate my ears. These silver hooks are OK but very thin and so they break easily if you're not careful. I wish they were a bit thicker.

I often change my cheap, costume jewelry earring hooks for "real" ones because my ears start to itch with the fake metal hooks (after wearing them a few days).
