I should have headed the warnings of other reviews saying these only fit small earrings. I figured mine were all "small" since they are just your normal earrings but these backing do not work for me. I'm sure If they did I'd be very happy but warning, these are TINY!
***Update***
I decided to use a knife to "split" the butterfly a bit as so many suggested and it actually helped! I was able to get the backings onto many earrings now. So, go ahead and try that!

These do not fit larger earrings, they only work for very small earrings such as for children.

These are great replacement ear nuts and economical as well. If you have the very fat posts you may need really large ones but these work well for most earrings I have. I have found that they fit on a majority of my earring posts. Some were a bit more tight than others but that simply made me feel more secure that I wouldn't lose my earrings! And for the price- you can't beat these for sterling!
