Nice little toolFeb 07, 2009
By D. Wagener It was in cheap price but great in quality. I wasn't sure how much I trusted the plastic spring bar removers... this felt like the best choice. I was happy with my purchase, and would recommend this item to everyone.

You need a metal spring bar remover as a plastic one may break on you. I have two spring bar tools. I like this one better than my other one (which was actually more expensive) because it seems to do a better job of removing straps that are hard to get off (like rubber straps).

Brittle and Cheap ... DO NOT BUYJan 20, 2011
By N. Szeto So I bought this spring bar remover tool to remove spring bars from my metal watch band. Turns out the notched end broke off after a few gentle tugs on the spring bar! I finally had to remove the spring bar with a paper clip! Yes ... you read this right - a paperclip ended up being more durable and more useful than this brittle and practically useless tool. DO NOT BUY.

Jewelers DelightDec 17, 2010
By Adventure Writer I am an antique dealer, and owner of various wristwatches (Breitling etc...), which require band changing or adjustments constantly! This tool is a must for anyone in the trade, or whom works on watches/bands etc... I have had a few common models of this item in the past, but am delighted with this one. Unlike the large plastic handled model with the ruler on it, the length of this one, allows the user to get into smaller places. For example. If one has a Breitling with a crocodile band (with double butterfly clasp attached), it is difficult to get in the space to change or adjust that bad. However, with this tool, it was much easier! Keeps one from scratching up their investment! The price was at the limit of reasonableness at $10. The one that I received, came with a plastic case/sleeve around it, so that one can carry it in a breast pocket without destroying one's clothing! I suggest that everyone whose into wristwatches buy at least one! And if you do... tell them I recommended it! Maybe they will send me a few gratis!!! LOL
