rapidly becoming my favorite threadMar 18, 2010

I'm a Silamide user from way back and have always been a little leery of trying new bead threads because for the most part either they've been too wiry or they've frayed too much. Sono works wonderfully in the off loom bead weaving techniques I use most. It's very strong which makes it good for chains, bracelets and rings in a single thickness. It has never frayed on me, and it threads easily through the size 12 needles I use with Japanese seed beads. It just needs to be flattened slightly to thread.
One thing I really love about Sono is that when I've accidentally knotted it, I can unknot it with the tip of my needle without fraying the thread.
Love it for off loom pieces that need a bit of strength and really recommend it.
