Just So I Can Get Rid Of 'Em!
Shhh, Don't Tell My Human!
A cat's gotta stick up for himself sometimes. Now, i don't deny that after fourteen years of high living, the last few spent on the street (through no fault of my own), I was ready for regular meals and a little peace and quiet. So when this human picked me up in the alley after a most unfortunate meeting with a large canine, I let her patch me up and, well, the food was good, so... let's just say I never got around to leaving. Now the human thinks she's the boss. But let me tell you, I got this situation wired. I make with the goo goo eyes, and she can't get those pounce treats out fast enough. I sleep against her legs, (just for back support, mind you) and she's combing me and scratching those special spots on my chin and behind my ears. But lately - well, it seems like I'm losing my grip on this household! It's the little things. Little hard round things, actually. They're EVERYWHERE. They get stuck in my toes. I chased a bug across the floor the other day, and it turned out not to be a bug at all. I sat at the human's feet for half an hour last week, because I KNOW what a crackling plastic bag of tempting treats sounds like. Finally she let me sniff the little things and they were -- ugh! -- BEADS!
Well, Mr. Kitty's got it all back in paw now. She thinks it's cute - she thinks I'm playing with the 'bugs'. But I know, and YOU know, that I am quietly gathering every single stupid bead I can hook claw or tooth into and putting them into MR. KITTY'S BIG BEAD BONANZA. Hey, she drops them, she looks away, whatever - they're MINE. I've been listening (she calls it napping) and I know that in my collection there are beads and findings from the USA, South America, Czechoslovakia, India, China, Korea and more. | | | Features: | |

great random assortmentDec 22, 2008
By Crazy Cat Lady I have ordered this twice and got really nice selection of beads, pendants and some useful non-bead things like earring pieces, too. I have received a few beads without holes (maybe 5 out of 200), but that's ok, I intend to glue them onto pin backings & hair clips. Yes, not 100% of everything you get will be absolutely flawless, but for 1/2 pound of beads at such a low price I think the quality is quite good. It is a random assortment so you won't always get matching beads (I have so far both times). Part of the fun of this is that it is a mystery mixed bag. I like to make asymmetrical 'crazy' bead necklaces & bracelets so Mr. Kitty's Big Bead Bonanza is purrfect.

These are all broken beads!!Apr 16, 2008

I read the reviews and their were only 2, one was happy the other not, but the reason why one wasnt happy was that their complaint was that they had no matching beads. i figured that wouldn't be a problem since i wanted to make a mixed up bracelet and necklace and figured this would be a nice way to help me jump start it. Most of the bead strings were 1/2 this price so i figured at least 1/4 of the beads would be decent.
Their was 2 huge pieces of melted lumped glass from old bottles that looked like it was from a junk yard. That was how they were able to get the weight up. The rest are even worse. When you make large amounts of beads their are always waste, ones that come out bent, miss-shaped and blobbed, parts would be missing, chunks chipped off, etc. This is what you get!!!!
Out of around 200 beads, 15 of them were in good condition, the rest were discards.
This is completely miss represented. These beads should be at least true beads.
I am not being picky about this, they are so bad i am trying to get a friend to come over with a camera and take a few pictures of these close up and post here.
total waste
don't bother

What fun!Oct 26, 2009
By Dharma The random mix I received is great...some beautiful bits that qualify for love at first sight. Others that will be something of a challenge to work with. None of the dreaded plastic, but some poly clay beads so cute they make my teeth hurt--my little niece will love having a bracelet of them. (She wears pink. On purpose.)
I'm not sure I'd have picked any of the lampwork beads, but I've already roughly designed a necklace around one of them--I think it is going to be stunning. The metal beads are mostly ones I haven't designed with before, and I can't wait to see what they work with from my stash.
The few metal findings may not work for finished pieces, but I will practice some things I haven't done before with them, before I buy precious metal versions. They are the only bits that might qualify as "broken." Except for that cute little piece of pyrite that will fit perfectly on a card I haven't been able to finish until now.
As for the little, dull, "nothing special" beads...I've made exquisite pieces with such before. Nice vintage look.
Thank you, Mr. Kitty! Please send more :)
Edit: Well, the 11 yr old nephew found the plastic beads, in strong, primary colors. He immediately pointed out they were Not My Style, and carried them off with the leather cords to make manly bracelets for himself. He pointed out a multitude of small glass pearls in a nice color range to console me.

Great Surprise!Dec 18, 2009
By Alicia Humphrey I LOVED what I got! There were SO many different beads, and a TON of multiples. There were clay, glass, metal and plastic beads of all shapes, sizes and colors. Also there were a lot of metal pieces (earrings, necklace pieces, etc.), a leather piece long enough for a necklace, and an awesome pendant. I got a few broken pieces, seriously only like 5. I don't know what the unhappy customers were talking about, maybe I just got lucky. I swear I got 3X the amount I was expecting. The only bad thing was maybe that there were a lot of beads that are more in the "kid category," but I can work with them!
