When you get down to discount priced tools, ordering online can be a crapshoot. This item was a resoundingly good "bang for the buck". There are all kinds of things that can make a tool such as this an annoyance to use, or pretty much non-functional, as alignment has to be fairly precise and the base frame has to be rigid, etc. This punch is the kind of tool that can actually be handed down to the next generation! It isn't fancy, but the dies and striker are of excellent quality, and the frame is well engineered of thick enough stock to keep the tool rigid. I've used it on a couple of very thick leather belts and it worked perfectly. You could pay a lot more, but trust me, you don't have to.

Very poor quality. Completely cratered on the first use on belt leather. Very disatisfied with product and again extremely disatisfied with service time and expense!
