This is an excellent price for a gold testing kit.
Previous comment that you must have gold testing needles is NOT correct.
If you make a testing mark on the stone (with the item you want to test)and use the correct acid for what you think the piece is, and the tested mark holds, there is no need to test against jewelers gold needles. If it dissolves, try the next lower acid.
Keep doing this until it holds and you know what karat it is.

Since I am new to testing anything, I did not realize that I needed the keys to test anything, therefore I am not able to use until I can afford the keys which from what I can tell are more expensive. Hence, there sits the product.
