This is a new dual power loupe made of optical glass with a swing-away, chrome plated case. The shape allows it to rest comfortably in the eye socket. This has become the standard style of loupe used in the watch making industry and is excellent for any application where magnification is needed. It is 10X power on one end and 20X power on the other. The 20X has a 12 mm lens and the 10X has a 18 mm lens. The 10X lens has a focal distance of 1" (25 mm) and the 20X lens has a focal distance of 1/2" (13 mm) These are second over runs from china. This could be 17 or 18 mm or double or triple lens and it may be misprinted. This is a great bargain at an inexpensive price. Too small, but neat gadget factorMar 30, 2008

"lizziewriter"
I have a number of loupes and magnifiers, and this is better than some but nothing I'd really recommend. It's neat to have the 20x, but the whole thing is so small, I find it more frustrating than useful most of the time.
Unless you really and truly need the dual lens factor, or are buying this as a fun gadget/spare lens, get the BelOMO 10x instead.
This could also be a neat giftie, again for its gadget factor, for someone who has one or more good basic loupes. I'd definitely put it higher on the "nifty looking toy" chart than on the "good lens" one.

Good affordable product for Geology studentsOct 06, 2007
By David Sauceda Saldivar I first bought this lens for myself then after using it I purchased 10 of them to distribute amidst my geology students. it is a good and affordable product for students, it has both lenses 10x and 20x. So we don't need anything else.

easy to use and very affordableJul 24, 2007
By Terry Hoobler Very glad I chose this combo unit since I've had problems with some negatives when using the 10x only. Don't know why anyone would spend triple the money when this has great clarity and so easy to use.

Different expectationsDec 15, 2007

"pack rat"
This is a nice product, especially for the price, but it is smaller than I expected. In addition, I tried to order 5 for stocking stuffers and only received 1. I tried again to order 4 and only received 1. I finally realized that the postage is how the profit is made and you can't get more than one at a time.

Jeweler's LoupeOct 17, 2007
By The Don Nicko With both a 10x and 20x magnifying loupe built into one small, easily handled device, this jeweler's loupe comes in handy. Even though it's made in China it seems to work well and the lenses seem to be good quality. Very good purchase for the price if you need something like this for examining jewelry or for other hobbies.
