This jewelry cleaner is industrial-strength and works in seconds! The dipping jar and brush are very convenient too. My only complaint is that it is impossible to transport. I tried to bring it with me on vacation and even though I screwed the jar up incredibly tightly and sealed it up in a ziploc bag, it still ended up coming unscrewed and spilling all over the inside of my suitcase.
But other than that I haven't come across a better jewelry cleaner. I even use it on my silver and delicate jewelry even though they make a separate one for semi-precious and silver jewelry. It hasn't damaged any of my jewelry so far.

Based on other reviews, I purchased this product to clean tarnished silver jewelry. Although it did a fair job on very lightly tarnished items after I soaked it far in excess of the directed 10 to 15 seconds and scrubbed like crazy, it would not clean the more heavily tarnished items. Since others made this sound like the best product they'd found, I figured those heavily tarnished items were bound for the trash. So, as a last resort, I got out some Tarn-X that I've literally had for 8 years. Instantly clean! Tarn-X may be too harsh for some gemstones, but I'll be sticking with it for the future. This jewelry cleaner is overpriced and nothing special if you need more than a minor clean-up. Oh, also, realize that these are 1/2 cup, small jars - 4 oz per jar, not 8 oz per jar. The description is a bit misleading. The jars are too small for anything besides a ring or small earrings.
