5 Steel ID Dapping Punches Great for Metalsmiths & Metal Working. This is a new set of 5 steel ID dapping punches. Used for shaping, forming and chasing metal in dapping blocks. These punches are 1/16" (1 mm) smaller than the cavity diameters in the dapping blocks. This was done in order to allow for the thickness of the metal being formed. They are called ID punches because the domes formed will have the same inside diameter as the inside cavity of the dapping block. Comes with wood stand. Made in Europe. These punches measure approximately 27.6, 30.8, 37.1, 43.5 and 49.8 mm (1.08", 1.21", 1.46", 1.71" and 1.96").
