1This is way to expensive for GritNov 17, 2009
By S. Schultz "Reptile teacher"
You should not have to pay more then 3$ per pound for grit for your rock tumbler this is way over priced Try some online bidding site or a web search. I buy it from a local rock shop for 3$ a pound delivered to my house. Each of these bags has 1/2 pound you do the math. Just type in "Silicon Carbide grit" in a search.

5Tumbler Grit PackAug 07, 2007
By A. Thomas "al"
The grit pack includes coarse grit, fine grit, pre-polish and finish polish. It works great with Tru-Square rock tumblers for basic rock polishing. I've gotten great consistent results, using this for over a year. Portions must be measured out for each operation, (I use a food scale). This way you can vary the amount used for different hardness rocks. Overall - this is a great system for hobby rock collectors.

4Extra grit pack essential when purchasing tumblerJan 19, 2010
By ToriCo
An extra grit pack is essential when purchasing a tumbler since most tumblers come with enough grit for one run. This grit was economical, meets the needs of the tumbler I purchased, and seems to provide enough grit for 3-4 loads in the tumbler. I recommend this pack if you are going to get into tumbling with your kids. Just enough to keep it going for several tumbles which is about right for kids' attention spans.

4Nice combination packMay 07, 2012

I got this to refill my previous pack of grit that I received with my rock tumbler. All of them fit in the original jars and they work like a charm, so I can re-use my jars instead of chucking them out and getting new ones, and the quality of the grit and polishing material is very good.

4grit packsApr 26, 2012
By Dennis H. Shipp "Rev. Dennis H. Shipp"
Purchased this grit pack to go with the new tumbler! You get all four types of grit and polish though there is only enough in each bag for 1 or two tumbles. I plan to drain each pack into an empty peanut butter jar and save for another tumble. You get 1=course grit, 1= fine grit, 1= pre-polish and 1= polish! Each pack mixes with water and must run in the tumbler for DAYS!! Get the 1 lb box of course grit too!! You will use more course grit than anything else!!
