Box is pristine white leather exterior with faux leather inset to hold earrings. The leather earring box comes inside its own white cardboard box that has a bit of a sheen to it. Makes a nice presentation from beginning to end. The insert for holding the earrings (or pendant) matches in color perfectly and sits nicely inside the box. While no clasp or locking mechanism on the box, it has a definitely snap sound when the lid is closed and will not open on its own, even when dropped (unless one if very unlucky).
These are so nice I plan on buying more to have on hand for gifts for upcoming occasions. The white is perfect for any color earring. Gemstones, gold, silver, and sterling will pop while pearls, with any type of setting will stand on their own. I may even get myself several of these boxes to replace earring boxes I've had for years that are all beat up and could use replacing. Great value for the price. I'm not disappointed with this purchase at all.

Smaller than I expected, small tears in the fabric, totally crooked presentation. Just doesn't look very good and certainly not worth the premium charged over similar cheap boxes sold on amazon. I am returning it.

I ordered these to give my granddaughter,who turned 9,a pair of earrings her grandfather had given me many years ago. They were perfect and made a nice presentation.
