Right tool for the jobJul 02, 2008
By Elza V. Mathews I have needed tools like this for years. Now I have them. I always had to adjust the bands on my watches and the pins would give me fits. I used them as soon as they arrived to adjust the band on the watch I had previously purchased on Amazon. The Spring Bar and Pin Link Removal tools were well worth the purchase price.
JunkNov 18, 2009
By J. A. Kazmin One use of this product (changing out a rubber bank on a Seiko dive watch) and the forked end looks like it went through a garbage disposal. (In fact, there isn't a "fork" anymore!) Tried the other one and it did the same thng. Metal just isn't hard enough.

I have a lot of watchmaking tools, including the more standard form of this spring bar and pin removal tool. I thought this simply was a more upscale version of that. Imagine my surprise when I received them and they were only 4 inches long - quite tiny!
The craftsmanship is great and the spring-bar tool works better than any I own. But the tool is just too teensy to be useful in pushing out reluctant link pins ... there is no surface area to get a good grip.
Since it is only half useful, but the half that is useful is very useful, I give it three stars. Buy it ONLY if you want a spring bar remover.
