The best earring backs for large and heavy earrings everApr 03, 2010

I own 2 pair in 14kt gold and another in sterling silver for several different pair of earrings. I like them much better than the disc type earring backs and since the earrings they are used with are usually nice pearls or gemstones they complete the look of good quality jewelry in my opinion. I'll never go back to dinky little earring backs.

I bought 9-10mm pearl studs from a different website. They came with these incredibly puny earring backs. So when I found these, I was excited to give them a try, and they work fabulously! No more droopy looking stud on the earlobe. My earlobes are small to medium in size, and with these backs, the studs sit well centered. These backs are so much more comfortable than those large plastic disc shaped ones. I have a new found love for my pearl earrings! They also arrived promptly in a pretty little gold paper box. I'm thinking of getting another pair. Really great item.

I have several pairs of large pearl earrings, and I have been using those tacky plastic discs with them. My hair is short, and fearing that these backs are visible to others, I have been reluctant to wear these earrings. These backs are perfect. I ordered other replacement backs (not from Amazon.com) and the holes in them were too large for my earrings. These are perfect, and they keep my earrings in place, close to my ear and are very pretty. I ordered 2 pairs and highly recommend them!

The earring backs are very pretty and work well and are much better than the original backs that came with my diamond studs.
